It was used to losing time. It was unnerving to lose time like this, falling asleep and waking up and seeing its bride get locked in a dark room, never to see the light of day, hear the sound of a human's voice, and then before it could even comprehend what that meant, it was out, in the Pit, beating men twice its size to kneeling, covered in blood and tissue, and then, it was suddenly huge, its partner for a mission, with an order to "polish up" its training.
The Asset does not have many things of its own. Its clothes, its gear, the air in its lungs, the thoughts in its head, none of it belongs to it.
When they say, "This is yours,", it's scared to ask what that means.

Summary
