Summary
Set after Millennium World. After the destruction of the Millennium Items, Yugi and Ryou no longer have the spirits, but it seems their souls have merged, balancing them between light and dark as individuals, giving Ryou some of the personality traits and skills from the Tomb Robber.
Since the Pharaoh's name has been revealed, the shadow magic is no longer sealed. Ryou finds he is able to use the shadows without the ring, as do the former bearers and those with a link to the ancient past.

Ilya and Shane marry after Rookie season
Due to Shane being a little more aware of himself thanks to Yuna, over-prepared mamma bear, explaining all types of sex/attraction to him from a young age (“He needs to be prepared for anything! I am not pigeonholing my son!”), Shane knows he’s crushing on, if not falling for, Ilya.
The butterfly effect occurs; this has only one outcome really. It’s a small thing. Tiny. When Ilya is not there for Shane’s Rookie of the Year award after-party, Shane is worried, needing to track down the other man, instead of slightly annoyed/upset that he would be without Yuna’s lessons.
This in turn leads him to not doing shots with Scott Hunter.
