Under the roar of the merriment, was a purposeful step, heavy on the heel. She smiled a little and fired.
It might have hit him on the nose, had she been any less skilled. But he started and the surprised – possibly impressed – look on his face was satisfactory to say the least.
“Don’t shoot.”
Gendry raised his hands and she lowered her bow. He was looking a little strange. Certainly, a little drunk, for he listed slightly to the left as he approached her.
She notched another arrow.
“It’s nighttime. It’s freezing. And everyone’s celebrating. You ought to be celebrating with them.”
Beginning with Episode 4 of Season 8, this is a Gendrya-focused fix-it fic. So it will have: both POVs of the proposal, mentors talking some sense into them, the Battle of Kingslanding, the Council of Kings, and a resolution.

Summary
Steve Harrington Never thought he would have peaked in High School. Yeah, sure, he was not exactly going anywhere with his life, but who could blame him, after three years of head trauma, plenty of mental scarring from battling interdimensional monsters, and physical scarring from getting his face rearranged by Highschool Hotheads and getting tortured by Russian spies beneath a mall in the middle of nowhere America. So really, who could blame him for taking a year or two off after barely graduating high school to figure himself out or whatever?
Good intentions aside though, turns out he had no choice in the matter. Just a few months after the nightmare that was Starcourt, he managed to find himself dead, and not heroically battling against hell beasts from an alternate dimension, but rather from a stale fancy-ass truffle that didn't even taste all that great to begin with.
Only to wake up and find himself an infant again, except with all his memories intact.

There was smoke and dust all around her, obscuring her vision as she staggered to her feet, trying to process what had just happened. One minute she’d been half-carrying Vi away from the carnage after a Noxian soldier had sliced a nasty cut across her stomach, the next Vi was pushing her away and running to throw herself in front of Jinx, who seemed to be reaching out for the monstrosity that had once been their father. Caitlyn just barely caught a glimpse of a tiny, blue-haired figure crouched underneath the roaring creature before there was an explosion of blue light, the force of it so strong she was knocked off her feet.
Now, she gripped her rifle at her side, scanning desperately through the smoke for any sign of life. The name left her lips like an instinct, panic taking over as she screamed. “Vi! Vi, are you out there? Vi!”
