He is living another life, away fro the luxury of the targaryens. He has a work, drinks a lot of coffee, and buys his potatoes with a lot of self sacrifice. After receiving his salary he buys potatoes,carrots and milk, to make mashed potatoes... until his door is destroyed and group of men dressing in black invaded his house... He is taken away. They examine him, take pictures and take him far far away from his home, dont let him drink coffee, and get him out of the life and reality he knows.they are his family, but he does not remember. He thinks he is their plaything, a charity project. The don´t understand why he mourns his potatos, and clings to his old ratty orange shirt.
