There was a beat of stunned silence.
“All of which,” Drake added dryly, “are, somehow, related.”
“Wait—flowers?” Richard said. “From Ra’s?”
“What the hell is this timeline?” Stephanie mumbled.
Kon said nothing, just gave Timothy a supportive nudge and plugged in the drive.
The screen blinked to life.

If Tim wasn’t a vampire…he’s always thinking about that, somewhere in the back of his mind. It’s not fair that half of Gotham’s population live in terror once the sun sets. The Drakes are old blood, with vampiric history going back centuries. Tim has attended countless blood galas and night balls. He’s small and scrawny and easily overlooked- vampires recognize power above all.

With no other way of dealing with the unresolved tension, both of them end up on the same dating app. From there, a romance blossoms that neither of them expected or have any way of escaping.
(I originally started this with Batfleck x Cavill Superman in mind and still picture this pairing strongly. However, after watching the new Superman movie, I am now conflicted and can see this working with Corensupes and whatever Batman the reader wants to pair him with. So long as that Batman is older and beefier than Corensupes.)

Summary

As hallways stretch, rooms shift, and phones ring with familiar voices, the motel begins weaponizing everything they refuse to say: Buck’s fear of being useful but not chosen, Eddie’s guilt and repression, and the life they’ve built together without ever naming it.

Lucas let out a sound that was half sob, half hysterical laugh. He backed up until his spine hit the bedroom wall, sliding down slightly as if his legs could no longer support his weight. He looked at Buck like he was looking at a dead man.
"Evan," Lucas said, his voice dropping to a devastated, trembling whisper. "I should have told you. I swear to god, I should have told you before we even left the bar, but I didn't think... I've never had a condom break on me. Never. I am so careful. I am so, so careful."
"Told me what?" Buck asked. His voice didn't sound like his own.
Lucas closed his eyes, a tear escaping and tracking down his pale cheek. He swallowed hard, his throat bobbing, and then he looked Buck dead in the eye.
"I'm HIV positive."
