rainworld stuff is on chapter 3, 4, '6' (it strays away from rw in that one)
hollow knight stuff on chapter 8,
literally only takes place in the abyss with a character i basically made when writing it

It is not often that iterators meet another of their kind directly
When an entirely new face appears, it is only sensible to ask questions.
How far will they go for those answers?

Iterator focused fanfiction, though, slugcats do play a role.

What if Suns and Five Pebbles DIDN'T screw everything up?

    Summary

Hundreds of thousands of cycles have passed since the Ascension of the Benefactors, and an iterator named Principle of Erudition watches the world descend into a cold, forgotten grave. As the remaining iterators slowly collapse around her over eons of time, she becomes desperate to find a solution to the Great Problem.

    Summary

The Random Gods could not stand forever. Sooner or later, they would all fall, such is the truth of the Great Cycle. However, how to live through it - that is their affair. A way out can always be found, and it is by no means necessarily the one envisioned by the Ancients. Or perhaps there is no point in seeking it at all?

Or: Sig gets up to some weird stuff, eventually finding a way to transfer data from neurons to a biological carrier, which turns out to be slugcats.

The timeline covers the period between the Rivulet campaign and the Saint campaign

This is a rewritten version of Way Out. The old one is now marked as "old"

    Summary

    carte blanche
    /kärt ˈblänSH/

complete freedom to act as one wishes or thinks best

Typically, iterators are only brought online once their superstructures have been fully built. Once active, they perform their duties as subservient bio-machines until the distant day where they collapse under the pressure. There will be errors during their forst cycles, as expected, but such things can be remedied and fixed.

    But... what if it can't?

What if they come online well before they should? What if they malfunction from the start- missing code causing issues for all? What if they were designed to be abnormal?

What if they were designed to be as free as their creator could manage?

    Summary

The pinnacle of Iterator technology, one of the most ambitious projects the Benefactors have ever undertaken: the Spacefarers.
Two Iterators, far removed from the rain and its brutal consequences, an incredible feat of engineering, built with the goal of gaining a new perspective on the Great Problem.
Or at least, that was the idea - you see, things rarely go smoothly in this world, and this is no exception.

When Delayed Event Broadcast awoke, he found himself alone - disconnected; from his Administrator, from the surface, from his systems - dysfunctional, crippled, and missing the memories that could tell him why.
Perhaps Unexpected Response would help him - they were part of the same superstructure, after all. But maybe he could fix it himself. Maybe he could fix everything?
Questions, answers, accidents, disasters, stories from the very beginning to the end of every flicker of warmth, it all passes given enough time.
Perhaps when it all starts over, our wreckage will carry a mountain?

    Summary

This is a story about the sort of drama you might imagine goes on between a bunch of forgotten godlike machines. Follow Careless Mercy and her fading connections through the long, dull passage of time after the old world moves on.

Expect existentialism, decay, and plenty of unfortunate circumstances: the likes of which Rain World does not hesitate to offer.

    Summary

A Rain World AU I made and I’m in the progress of writing, anyways

A timeline fractured, being rebuilt from within
The story is no longer the original one mentioned to be

If that's confusing basically someone broke the original timeline by doing stuff they weren't supposed to effectively completely diverting the timeline from the story that was originally supposed to happen in the AU to the point a new story happens

This entire thing is probably going to end up being in the form of stories that happen within the AU, I will try to order them in story timeline order though

I use voice to text and don't have good spelling but I try :)

And don’t worry, it’s rain world levels of violence ;)

    Summary

"FP: I wish to create a messenger like yours. To expedite the delivery of cargo between us, as well as to assist with repairs to some of my exterior installations."

"NSH: Oh~? Would you like the blueprints for Hunter? I can also forward you some of my notes on genetic engineering, in case there are any tweaks you want to make."

"FP: That would be greatly appreciated."
    ---
NSH is glad to see Pebbles taking forward steps on their own. The lingering pain from Moon's collapse still leads Sig's own thoughts astray...
But now? Now, they all have an opportunity to fix as much as they could. They couldn't make things right, ever, but they could at least make the best of what was left.
And that was all they needed.

... Which is what NSH would be thinking. But right now there were more pressing questions. Like the monstrosity right outside their access shaft.
"What in Void's name did Five Pebbles create?" NSH thinks to themself as they open a new broadcast with Five Pebbles.

    Summary

A few cycles have passed since the mass ascension. Iterators of the Forgotten Valley group are now alone. Some of them seek new entertainment, some devote their time to working on the Great Problem, some rage at the seeming betrayal of their missing masters. But the outside world has changed a lot since their benefactors have left the surface. Their empty cities, gardens and bridges won't stay empty for long.

This fic consists of broadcasts and pearl data, so the chapters will vary in length.

One rainy storm marks the birth of a monster. A slugcat, innocent, a brother, a child. Someone undeserving of the hand they were dealt. Someone unable to make the best out of a bad situation. Someone unable to control their hatred.
