She jerked swiftly with the snap of thin, crumbling stone. Quickly, however, the weight of the petrification became too heavy for her to handle. As her fists enveloped in stone, Luz’s struggling arms fell to the floor. She gritted her teeth and glowered at Belos.
Belos eased himself fully onto his knees. He set his staff aside.
“I suppose I shall take what I am owed for my loyalty and mourn this loss later.”
