He raises his hands in mock surrender. “Don’t threaten me with a good time, Singularity.”
“I told you a thousand times, it’s Djeeta.”
After giving you another look, she takes Lyria by the hand and the three of them run along, leaving you alone with the man, giving you but a wave and well-wishes. You’re not sure how you feel about him waiting until your captain is out of sight to curl an arm around you and pull you back so he can lean onto you, keeping you anchored in place with his weight.
“So, tell me about yourself. Are you a virgin?”
