As the last traces of laughter faded, Hyunjae focused entirely on Yoojin. "Open your mouth," he ordered.
Rolling his eyes, Yoojin complied. Fine, they would kiss, and it would undoubtedly be terrible, providing him with ammunition to tease Hyunjae for eternity. He obediently opened his mouth as instructed.
"Not that wide," Hyunjae remarked with a smirk. He held onto Yoojin's chin with one hand, gently closing it until Yoojin's mouth was only slightly ajar.
Hyunjae then gazed at him for a few more moments before slowly leaning down. Yoojin closed his eyes tightly, his body tensing with anticipation. Any second now, Hyunjae would kiss him.
And kiss him he did.
Just not on the lips.

He thickens his skin and mentally recites the password to Hua Cheng’s communication array; and if his ears turn a bit red at saying the words, then at least there’s no one around to see. San Lang, he calls out, are you there?
The silence that follows his question feels decidedly heavy, but with what, Xie Lian isn’t sure. Then comes Hua Cheng’s answer, flat and icy as a frost-covered lake: Who the fuck is this, and how do you have my array password?
Xie Lian raises his palms in an instinctual gesture of surrender, but of course Hua Cheng can’t see him. San Lang, it’s me, he replies, alarmed.
A beat. You have three seconds to answer me, or I’ll bombard your head with such a frightening sound your brain leaks out your ears, Hua Cheng snarls.

Hua Cheng’s brow furrowed deeply. The brush in his hand trembled, dragging a dark stroke across the page and destroying the half-formed character he’s been working on. “You must’ve cared for them a hell of a lot—to throw everything away without hesitation. To offer yourself to me so easily.”
He locked eyes with Xie Lian. “But they clearly didn’t care half as much, did they? They let you walk straight into a pit of demons. They let you become mine. What kind of person does that to someone they love?”

That is, if the skill is working properly. Unfortunately for Yoojin, he just had to have turned it off at the Sesung guildmaster’s request! Why? Well, apparently, the curse also has a memory loss side effect as well, which he must’ve forgotten reading about, so he doesn’t know!! And how did he even get cursed in the first place? Well, thanks to the temporary amnesia that's kicking in, he doesn’t know the answer to that either!!! He thinks he might’ve had some sort of curse resistance skill before, but maybe the rank just wasn’t high enough? Or maybe he was set up by someone with extraordinary high level curse skills? Impossible. His baby brother would never allow that!
Wait. Why would that ungrateful, heartless, bastard of a brother ever care about him anyway???
AKA Han Yoojin is cursed with losing his post-regression memories and thinks Sung Hyunjae is his lover. Chaos ensues.

Hyunje was smiling fondly at Yoojin with a softness that was reserved only for a select few. Yoojin liked it when he looked at him like that, because it meant Hyunje wasn't making any shady deals behind his back or trying to sabotage their relationship or anything. But also… he liked Hyunje's attention. Somewhere along the way, he'd gotten used to it and accepted it as something normal and even expected between them. He also liked returning it and watching Hyunje's eyes light up in interest whenever Yoojin met him at his level– or at the level someone of Yoojin's rank could meet an S-rank at, anyway. The two of them got along very well, and Yoojin liked spending time with him whenever he could. So much that they even slept together in the same bed every night.
Huh. Okay, maybe they are dating.
