Summary

You knowing of the Death Note has seemingly put you in an awkward spot in both of the Kiras' plans, and you have no choice but to work alongside them.After meeting Kira, he allows you to meet his Shinigami. Well, little did you know that this Shinigami will impact your life for the better.

You and Misa are best friends. This takes place in the Death Note story where she broadcasts, and you both go from there. She tells Light you know him, and he lowkey gets mad as hell. Summary
Suddenly, it all came back to him: the woods, the shovel, the dirt, the gloved hands. The memories lead him back to that fateful night.
Cross awoke with a sharp air intake, clutching the blanket sprawled over him as he rasped to catch his breath. His eyelights flicker to his host — captor — standing over the stove with a spatula clutched in his hand, staring back at him with amusement.
“You’re awake. How’d you sleep?”
The vague question added to the thick tension hovering over the room. Cross didn’t dare flinch lest Killer notice his blunder. Instead, he glared back into his empty eyesockets, leaking with dripping determination.
“Like the dead.”
Killer’s grip tightened on the spatula, his everlasting grin starkly contrasting the dark, cold glare he delivered Cross’ way. Behind him, the smoke rose from the bacon sizzling in the pan as the kettle whistled and blew forth it’s steam.

Nightmare gives him the option to get out of his abandoned, empty world. He accepts the offer but refuses to destroy anything or hurt people. Instead he finds another purpose. In return the Bad Sanses give him a home, companions, a life, and a name. They call him Ink.
Or: Before he can destroy his soul and enter the Doodle Sphere, Ink is recruited by Nightmare. He accepts his role as best he can, even if he sometimes feels like he is meant for something more.
