After being sentenced to a couple months in Juvie, ten year Dallas had decided one thing: He was going to show the world his resentment towards everyone and everything.
He was going to make the universe hate him.
Alone in his cell, a divine glow interrupted him.
“Is it true you wish hatred upon the world, son?”
Confused and utterly baffled, Dallas hesitates before nodding.
“I have a task for you, young man. This will weigh heavily on your shoulders for many years.”
—That night, Dally was ‘punished’. Turned into a guardian over one specific boy.
Someone the angel specifically chose to make Dally find someone he’d love in this world.
The angel assigned him Johnny Cade.
“Keep this boy alive, safe and at peace… if you think nothing can bring you to see the good in this world, he will.”
And Dally is furious.
Until..
Six months later, when he meets the boy.

Years before Tulsa witnessed the deaths of Dallas Winston and Johnny Cade, the two sat one peaceful night in the lot under the glimmering stars.
